Microlearning is a fantastic way to engage the disengaged or inattentive learner, as it's main goal is to deliver content in a fast and short format with varied mediums. However, because microlearning is quick-paced and short, information learned is stored in our short-term memory. Consolidation and storage of information in long-term memory requires practice and repetition of task/information learned. Thus, microlearning should be used in addition, but not solely in supplementation of deeper learning activities. |
